Please read these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy before purchasing. The cancellation policy forms part of this agreement. By purchasing, you agree to these terms; nothing in them limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
2. Lessons and participation
Flikkit provides live, private, one-to-one European Portuguese conversation lessons with native-speaking instructors. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes and takes place online through Google Meet. Lessons are adapted to your level and goals; progress depends on your participation and practice, and we do not guarantee a particular fluency level, examination result or qualification.
You must provide accurate contact details and have a suitable device, microphone and reliable internet connection. If you purchase for someone else, you are responsible for sharing these terms with them. A parent or legal guardian must arrange and supervise participation by a minor and provide any consent required by law.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are displayed in euros. The introductory lesson costs €15, the four-lesson package costs €108 and the eight-lesson package costs €208. Payments are one-time purchases, payable in full through Stripe; there are no subscriptions or automatic renewals. The introductory lesson is available once per student.
The total payable is shown before you confirm payment. Your bank or card issuer may apply its own currency-conversion or transaction charges. Lessons become available only after payment is confirmed. A cancelled or unsuccessful checkout does not create a paid lesson entitlement. Price changes apply to future purchases, not packages already purchased.
4. Booking and package use
Package lessons may be cancelled 24 hours or more before the scheduled start. Lessons scheduled for Mondays must be cancelled by the preceding Friday at 5:00 PM Central European Time (CET, UTC+1).
After payment confirmation, follow the booking instructions or contact us to arrange your lessons. Times are subject to instructor availability; check the date, time and time zone in your booking confirmation. Four- and eight-lesson packages expire 1 year after purchase. All included lessons must be taken before expiry.
Join your lesson on time. Arriving late does not extend the scheduled end time. Cancellation, no-show, instructor cancellation and refund rules are set out in the Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy.
5. Respectful conduct and materials
Students and instructors must treat each other respectfully. Harassment, discrimination, threats, abusive behaviour and unlawful use of the service are not permitted. We may stop a lesson or suspend participation where reasonably necessary to protect others, and will explain the reason where appropriate. Any treatment of unused lessons remains subject to applicable consumer law.
Materials supplied by Flikkit or instructors are for your personal learning. Do not redistribute or commercially exploit them without permission. Do not record, publish or share a lesson, another participant's image or their personal information without their express consent.
6. Service standards and responsibility
We aim to deliver lessons with reasonable care and skill. If a lesson cannot be delivered or there is a material problem with the service, contact us promptly so we can investigate and provide an appropriate remedy. We are not responsible for failures caused solely by your equipment or connection, but this does not affect any statutory rights you may have.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or consumer remedy that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.
7. Complaints and applicable law
For a complaint, email hello@flikkit.com with your purchase details and a description of the issue. We will review it and respond as soon as reasonably possible. These terms are subject to applicable law. Consumers retain the mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in the courts available to them under the law of their country of residence. No compulsory arbitration or waiver of those rights is imposed by these terms.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for future purchases and will publish the revised date here. The version accepted when you purchase continues to govern that purchase unless a change is required by law or you expressly agree otherwise. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
